I don't really see much use of it - ident can be easily faked.

SSH works by keys, so if you disable password authentification (keyword
PasswordAuthentication in config file) then only users whose keys are
registered in authorized_keys file in specific account will be able to log
in. Be sure hosts.equiv is also disabled.
