hi, the first meeting of the haifa linux club (temporary name - we'll make a competetion for finding a new name, and the winner will get a free copy of the complete source code of the linux kernel as a reward) was held yesterday (thurthday). there were about 20 participants in the meeting. a lecture was carried out (as promised), and after a short break, a little discussion was held to decide on topics for lectures and discussions in the next meetings. a few people vulenteered to carry out lectures in future meetings, so there is hope :0 e-mail addresses were collected, and a mailing list will be created soon, for the club's participants. btw, most participants were students. the next meeting will be most likely held on 2-sep-99, unless something goes wrong. i'll send an announcement sometime next week with more details about the agenda for this second meeting. btw, just to satisfy my curiousity - were there any people from linux-il at the meeting (sorry, i forgot to ask that there). guy ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
