Hi friends in ILUG.
I´m currently travelling in south America, and came upon this internet booth
owner in Cuzco which tries to install Linux and faces an annoying problem.
He has an obscure SiS board, with an integrated graphic card that XF86_SVGA
recognizes as a CLGD6205. Probing seemingly finds at least one proper mode,
but the chipset appears not to be recognized correctly, and trying to run
the server results in a trashed terminal mode...
Any hints for helping this guy will be appreciated. I´ll try to return here
tomorrow to help him, before I leave Cuzco. Please reply to my hotmail
