Hello,

I'm setting up a web server based on RedHat 6.0. Since the dedicated box
has not arrived yet, I'm doing the configuration on another box (after a
clean RH6 installation), with the plan of just copying everything ("tar
cvl /") to the actual server when it arrives.

My question is this: should I expect any problems or inefficiencies
resulting from skipping the proper installation process on the new box?

Both boxes have no SCSI, PCMCIA, sound or anything esoteric. A local X
server isn't needed. I'll handle the partition and NIC stuff manually.
Is there other anything else that's hardware-specific?

  Regards,
    Eran Tromer
