I don't know about the "WILL manufacture" part, however, Itsy was
demoed at a Linux convention at Duke in North Carolina bit longer than a
year ago. At the time, the two engineers from DEC passed around a prototype
and after we all drooled over it abundantly [Itsy is half the size of
a Palm Pilot with 16MB RAM + Linux], they said it would take a year
to go from the lab prototype to the market version.

Currently, Compaq has a set of Windows CE palmtops including the Aero
which is roughly the size of the Palm Pilot and has a color screen.
Marketing Itsy means choosing Linux over Microshaft. It would a big step.
