Using knfsd or nfsd?
portmap running?
If it happens to be a RH6 system (comes with knfds), check to
make sure that you compiled with knfsd support, IIRC kernels
come with it disabled and if you use menuconfig/xconfig/config
it won't appear unless allowing experimental code.
