Hi.
I'm trying to install RH 6.0 on a new machine which has an IDE CD, and
a SCSI disk on an adaptec 2940 UW controller. The install fails as
follows:
Boots from the CD fine.
Gets as far as the Installation Class question (I choose Custom - not
relevant).
I get the error: I cannot run /bin/insmod: No such file.
The log contains:
* in loadDeviceDriver, ks=0 typeName = SCSI
* pci probing for SCSI devices
* found driver for Adaptec 2740,2840,2940
* can not run /bin/insmod: No such file or directory
ls -l /bin shows:
insmod -> install
there is no install file !
Any ideas ?
