Hello ILUG.

I use KDE to write hebrew (left to right, but it's ok for web forms {that
probably reverse it in a script} and I can manage), as it has this nice
KiKbd thingy with hebrew support. I noticed that GNOME should also have a
thingy like that , they call it GKB or something. but whenever I try to
run it i get the following message :

** CRITICAL **: file goad.c: line 766 (goad_server_activate_shlib):
assertion `i' failed.

any idea what is assertion 'i', or for that matter - what the heck does it
say ?
also, how can I run KiKbd under GNOME ? I tried diffrent settings, but I
still can't see the KiKbd. even though I know it is runnnig - it has no
affect on typing.
I also tried to run kpanel with gnome (under enlightenment), but to no
avail - it claims it's waiting for a window manager, and doesn't want to
start.

can someone help ?
did anyone had any experience writing hebrew with X w/o KDE ?

Oded
