Hi,

when all you want is to save the few 100 MB of windows, did you consider
installing a shared network installation ? I didn't check wether 98 has
it, but it is a standart feature in 95 and had to be done with special
netsetup program (read the resource kit for more info). I tried it once
and got it working :-). It probably also could work without network, but
with local "shared windir". ofcourse you wouldn't have implicitly shared
apps etc.

my 2 ag. on Win9X
