My situation is a bit different in that the Lose98 partition can
self-boot (i.e. it's what is called "Raw IDE partition" in VMware
terms, as opposed to a file under a Linux partition).  It's already
installed and works well (well, as far as Lose98 can work :) when
booted alone.

I'm worried about playing too much with multiple profiles as I suspect
that this is potentially a reason for my partition table's erasure
last time I tried it.

Any experience with "raw partition"?
