Why would anyone want? IMO, if you decide there is a need for UPS at all, it
should be the most reliable part of the whole hardware, and not something
that crashes more frequently than Hevrat Hashmal's outages happen. Then buy
APC. Once installed, you can forget about it for good. There are about five
different packages that support APC models under Linux, including a WEB
interface and a WindowMaker/Afterstep dockable applet. Also, a few days ago APC
announced an official support for Linux, meaning a port of PowerChute and like
software.

Yeah, not the UPS :) Actually, I don't mind as far as you pay for S&H :).

PS. I have no experience with Omnitech UPS. Probably, they're very good and
reliable. Neither have I any affiliation with APC.
