Why are you trying to link to it? Under normal conditions you don't
need to do it, and the compiler does it by itself. Try to compile
without -ldl. (And no, you should never need to recompile libdl or any 
other system library by yourself. They always come in packages with
your Linux distribution, and if you somehow lost it, you should
re-install that package from the distribution.)
