Shalom,
I of course second Shlomo's recommendation. I would also like to point
out that there is a mirror of the LDP, including the Installation and
Getting Started Guide in HTML, in the Hebrew University:
http://www.cs.huji.ac.il/support/docs/Linux/mdw. On the other hand
the mirror at linux-il (http://www.linux.org.il/LDP/), which is linked
to from the linux-il homepage, appears to have broken
permissions. Will the webmaster please do something about it?

After searching the web, I found a great on-line book. It's a largely
expanded version of Matt Welsh's installation guide, but it now
contains much more information, and an excellent tutorial for
newbies. I highly recommend it to anyone - before asking questions
that will get you flamed, try looking for answers here.
BTW, maybe a link to this book could be added to the LINUX-il page.
Or maybe someone could mirror it. It's only about one mega, but the
site seems very busy and it took me a **long** time to download. I'm
assuming that the average newbie would want the ZIP version, but the
book also exists in a few othe formats.
