All the 3-button rodents known to me either have a switch on the bottom to
set Mouse Systems Mode or use the extra DTR/RTS inversion method to switch
into that mode (see XF86Config manuals, pointer section).
I've never had a 3-button mouse whose 3rd button did not work. Way back to
MS-DOS and IBM PC XT ;)
