FYI this kind of remote control of monitors takes place through the VESA
feature pins of the monitor. The protocol is very very likely plain I2C
(being Philips) over those wires. I think that the X11 server source can
be 'corrected' for this with some hacking. This is an educated guess. I
know that this does not warm your heart, as you want it now...
