I use heartbeat 2.1.4-2 on ubuntu 9.04 server. > Is there anything in the log files from the > time of gateway was fixed? > I'm not very good at reading these logs yet, but I notice it had to kill off a bunch of processes to get node1 to unmount. Could this have caused it to be viewed as unstable and hence not failback? I've got the same setup on the other server (they can failover to each other), but I don't see much difference in its logs. heartbeat[20213]: 2010/05/19_18:59:39 WARN: node xx.xx.xx.129: is dead heartbeat[20213]: 2010/05/19_18:59:39 info: Link xx.xx.xx.129:xx.xx.xx.129 dead. harc[22070]: 2010/05/19_18:59:39 info: Running /etc/ha.d/rc.d/status status ipfail[20237]: 2010/05/19_18:59:39 info: Status update: Node xx.xx.xx.129 now has status dead ipfail[20237]: 2010/05/19_18:59:41 info: NS: We are dead. :< ipfail[20237]: 2010/05/19_18:59:41 info: Link Status update: Link xx.xx.xx.129/xx.xx.xx.129 now has status dead ipfail[20237]: 2010/05/19_18:59:42 info: We are dead. :< ipfail[20237]: 2010/05/19_18:59:42 info: Asking other side for ping node count. ipfail[20237]: 2010/05/19_18:59:44 info: Ping node count is balanced. ipfail[20237]: 2010/05/19_18:59:44 info: Giving up foreign resources (auto_failback). ipfail[20237]: 2010/05/19_18:59:44 info: Delayed giveup in 4 seconds. ipfail[20237]: 2010/05/19_18:59:45 info: Aborted delayed giveup (4) ipfail[20237]: 2010/05/19_19:05:09 info: Giving up because we have less visible ping nodes. ipfail[20237]: 2010/05/19_19:05:09 info: Delayed giveup in 4 seconds. ipfail[20237]: 2010/05/19_19:05:13 info: giveup() called (timeout worked) heartbeat[20213]: 2010/05/19_19:05:13 info: node1 wants to go standby [all] heartbeat[20213]: 2010/05/19_19:05:14 info: standby: node0 can take our all resources heartbeat[23596]: 2010/05/19_19:05:14 info: give up all HA resources (standby).
