Correct, you need to purchase the HAE with SLES 11.

Onderwerp: [Linux-HA] SLES 11 HA

Hi, not sure anyone can help me but I'm running down a few blind alleys
with the current state of HA in Suse, and I notice there are a few Suse
employees on this list ;)

We are currently using SLES 10 SP2 for our clusters, doing a nice job
with heartbeat 2.1.4 and ldirectord.

As I'm investigating and designing new solutions I need to look at SLES
11, as heartbeat 2.1.4 is getting a bit old now and every other post on
this list seems to direct everyone towards using pacemaker and openais.

I downloaded the SLES 11 DVD and couldn't find any mention of openais,
pacemaker or heartbeat. It seems that all HA has been removed from SLES
11 and put into the SLES 11 High Availability Extension, and there is
no way to get hold of that extension without paying $699 for it. As I'm
currently looking at SLES 11 against RHEL 5.3 for clustering/HA I don't
want to have to pay for something I may not use.

Can anyone confirm any of this or shed any light?

Thanks.
