This is simply an observation. It may be completely irrelevant. The 2.1.2 and 2.1.3 packagings for CentOS 5 use different uid/gid. A new installation of 2.1.3 _may_ install differently to a "via upgrade" route. Is there an outside chance that something here might be involved? (What happens if part of an installation has one set of uid/gid? Or if one two nodes have different uid/gid? (Probably totally irrelevant, but...)
