I understand entirely. I recently changed my plans from a 2 node cluster
to a 6 node cluster for similar reasons. I had to dig and read and test
to gain more understanding of heartbeat.
Ciro posted your answer but you will have to learn more about heartbeat
to accomplish what you want.
