Hello there, Knowing an elderly FAI version, I'm currently testing FAI 5.3.6 from Debian Strech, so squashfs and dracut are new to me.
When booting a self-buid FAI-cd I shortly see an error message from losetup in early boot: starting version 232 ... dhcp: PREINIT eth0 up dhcp: BOND setting eth0 RTNETLINK answers: File exists losetup: /run/initramfs/squashfs/LiveOS/ext3fs.img: Warning: file does not fit into a 512-byte sector; the end of the file will be ignored. cat: /sys/class/net/eth0/name_assign_type: Invalid argument cat: /sys/class/net/eth0/name_assign_type: Invalid argument INIT: version 2.88 booting ... Now FAI starts normally, but I have seen individual "SQUASHFS error" messages, too. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Why not creating an image with file-size of n*512 bytes? BTW: I build the ISO with 'fai-cd -Mf /fai.iso' and dd'ed it to an USB pendrive. Christian
