Hey, I was able to persuade Thomas to add a release branch to FAI. From now on the release-branch will automatically be imported to Lauchpad [1], built, packaged and copied into a PPA [2].
Unfortunately FAI can currently not be used as NFSroot out of the box due to some packaging issues with Dracut and initramfs [3]. I've implemented a hack around that and provide it as PPA [4]. Any support in maintaining this and getting this fixed in Ubuntu is welcome. I will try to keep this stuff running, but for private reasons I will not be able to spend much time doing so (one of the reasons I persuaded Thomas to add the release branch). I will not be following the FAI-ML closely, so if there is anything to be fixed in a timely manner (missing release in the PPA, etc) please contact me directly.
