hi,

I have problems to get a working Jessie Fai setup, under Wheezy.

First, I get nfs.timeout from Dracut and I found:
https://lists.uni-koeln.de/pipermail/linux-fai/2013-June/010084.html

I have the very same setup: the dhcp server is different from the Fai install
server.

Than I configured the PXE config to the „old" style:

label Debian Jessie Install
kernel debian-amd64/vmlinuz-3.16.0-4-amd64
append initrd=debian-amd64/initrd.img-3.16.0-4-amd64 ip=dhcp  root=/dev/nfs
rootfstype=nfs3 nfsroot=1.2.3.4:/srv/fai-jessie-amd64/nfsroot
FAI_FLAGS=verbose,sshd,createvt FAI_CONFIG_SRC=nfs://1.2.3.4/srv/fai/config
FAI_ACTION=install SERVER=1.2.3.4  rd.debug=1 panic=10

now, Dracut is able to mount the NFS share, but the very last line I see is
„starting permit user sessions“ ( I had to capture a video to see it) and the
client reboots/resets and I have a loop.

Fai server is Wheezy, Fai client is Jessie.

      Fully Automatic Installation quickstart package
ii  fai-server                          4.3.2+wheezy1                    all

ii  fail2ban                            0.8.6-3wheezy3                   all
      ban hosts that cause multiple authentication errors

Any suggestions?
