Increase the amount of nfs processes in /etc/default/nfs-kernel-server. Or your disk is saturated (unlikely). I install dozens at a time with no slow down.
RPCNFSDCOUNT=512 Increasing the count arbitrarily high will not affect performance. However, over 1100 or so it starts to mess up the NFS kernel process and it stops working :p.
