I don't understand what an "audio descriptor as a type" means. 8-( Can you specify your problem?
Within a TS there are PIDs for what is called 'Audio Descriptor' data.

I wasn't able to investigate this issue further. 8-(
Would you be so kind and prepare a patch that extends "dvb_demux_decoder_type" + adds a little explanation?
If you could cite or point out the underlying spec that would be helpful, too.
