Simply try running VDR without any options.
Then take a look at the /var/log/messages file to see whether there are
any error messages there.

Okay.

Dec 19 10:23:17 test vdr[19796]: VDR version 1.1.9 started
Dec 19 10:23:17 test vdr[19796]: loading /video/keys-pc.conf
Dec 19 10:23:17 test vdr[19796]: no DVB device found
Dec 19 10:23:17 test vdr[19796]: invalid primary device number: 1
Dec 19 10:23:17 test vdr[19796]: ERROR: no primary device found - giving up!

Is this due because I'm using SSH to remote my linux computer ? What's for VDR, the primary display ? The VGA ? Do I have to run under Xwindow ?

My DVB card is installed correctly...

Regards,
