Oi Pessoal. Estou tentando instalar o slackware 8.1 dando boot pelo CD. Optei pelo 8.1 porque n�o consegui fazer X do 8 funcionar corretamente.
Bem, ao dar boot pelo cd, digito SETUP e vou seguindo todas as configura��es do menu principal do programa de instala��o. Digo, configuro o teclado, o espa�o de swap, a parti��o ext2 do Linux Native, enfim.. tudo. Seleciono a op��o FULL e tudo � instalado corretamente sem problemas. Ap�s isto, o linux pergunta se quero configurar as fontes, seleciono a fonte e na tela seguinte pergunta qual a forma que desejo instalar o lilo e me fornce 2 op��es a simple e a expert. Em qualquer das 2 op��es recebo a mesma mensagem de erro: LILO INSTALL ERROR#1 Sorry, but the attempt to install LILO has returned an error, so LILO has not been correctly installed. You'll have to use a bootdisk to start your machine instead. It should still be possible to get LILO working by editing the /etc/lilo.conf and reinstalling LILO manually. Depois desta parte, o linux pede as configura��es da rede, de email, da �rea regional, etc, at� que chega numa tela onde ele diz que n�o foi detectado a senha de root, exibindo na tela a seguinte janela de erro: WARNING: NO ROOT PASSWORD DETECT There is currently no password set on the system administrator account (root). It is recommended that you set one now so that is active the first time the machine is rebooted. This is especially important if you're using a network enable kernel and the machine is on a Internet connected LAN. Would you like to set a root password? Ap�s isto, existem 2 bot�es. O YES e o NO. Clico no YES. Aparece a seguinte mensagem na tela: Changing password for root Enter the new password (minimum of 5, maximum of 127 characters) Please use a combination of upper and lower case letters and numbers. New-password: Aki, acontecem duas coisas. As vezes o micro trava. Coisa q na outra vers�o n�o acontecia. Ou ent�o, quando digito a senha, ele diz q n�o encontrou o root no sistema. O q fa�o?
