pequena not�cia no new york times... ali�s n�o faz muito tempo saiu no new york times que a ibm quer dar mais 'aten��o' ao linux que ao aix... interessante: a hp quer integrar o hp-ux ao linux... a ibm quer mais aten��o ao linux do que ao aix... a sgi tb est� se interessando no linux, e integr�-lo ao irix... a compaq 'n�o conta' pq se ela realmente se fundir com a hp, esta n�o vai querer manter v�rias linhas de unix (himalaya, openvms, tru64...)... a sun vai substituir o cde pelo gnome.... ser� que tudo isso � bom para o linux? acho estranho... isso beneficia (na minha opini�o) aos profissionais de linux... mas ao proprio linux... n�o sei....

(news/quote), the distributor of the Linux operating system, said today that it would supply software and services for all I.B.M. (news/quote) server computers. Red Hat had previously supplied its Linux version only for the I.B.M. xSeries servers. Under the latest agreement, Red Hat will supply Linux for all I.B.M. servers, including the zSeries mainframe.
