existe um erro na configuracao do seu apache, justamente quando ele
tenta buscar a pagina.
A sua configuracao deveria estar mais ou menos assim:
<VirtualHost Nome_da_pagina_ou_endereco_IP>
ServerAdmin email
DocumentRoot diretorio_onde_encontra-se_o_index.html
ServerName Nome_do_servidor
ErrorLog diretorio padrao de logs
</VirtualHost>
NOTE NA tercira linha que � index.html, por padrao no apache os arquivos
indexes tem que ser index.html e nao index.htm
