The GRALTA Foundation fall film series takes a break and will resume on
December 3 (Bemis Hall) and December 7 (Lincoln Library) with the fourth and
final series event, The Teacher. This film was written and directed by Farah
Nabulsi, who also directed and wrote The Present, the Oscar-nominated short
that we screened last Wednesday and Sunday. Like The Present, The Teacher stars
renowned Palestinian Israeli actor Saleh Bakri.

We are however co-sponsoring a book talk on Saturday night at 7 PM at the
Community Church of Boston by noted journalist/author Thomas Suarez. Detailed
information about that event appears below.

About the author

Thomas Suárez is a New York–born author, historical researcher, lecturer, and
accomplished concert violinist and composer, now based in London. He writes and
speaks frequently on Palestine, and his critically acclaimed book Palestine
Hijacked: How Zionism Forged an Apartheid State from River to Sea has been
hailed by Israeli historian Ilan Pappé as “a tour de force”. His other works
include Writings on the Wall: Palestinian Oral Histories and his new book,
Palestine Mapped: From the River to the Sea in Early Geographic Thought.

Note that Suarez’s CCB event will be BOTH live and live-streamed. It will also
be archived on the Community Church of Boston’s YouTube channel (
<https://www.youtube.com/@CCBPeace> https://www.youtube.com/@CCBPeace), so that
people who already have plans for Saturday night, can watch it later.

Regards,
Steve Low
