Many in the LT community will remember Lobsang Phuntsok, a young Tibetan
Buddhist Monk who taught, for many years, with the generosity of First Parish
in Concord before leaving to establish a school in the Himalayan foothills
where India, Bhutan. and Tibet (China) all touch. The film about that school,
Jhamtse Ghatsal, or Garden of Love and Compassion, was “Tashi and the Monk.” It
won, and deserved, an Emmy ten years ago. Last year the filmmakers revisited
Tashi, Lobsang, and the school, now home to 125 children. The new short film,
“Loving-Karma,” will have its American premiere at Lincoln Sudbury High School
on Saturday, October 18th, from 7:00-9:00. Tickets are available from
Jhamtse.org/loving-karma/. Growth nurtured by compassion; a gift for our
troubled times.

Thanks
