I did not see Eric Snyder's original Lincoln Talk submission but want to add my
thoughts about being left handed.
I am a 89 year old lefty so have had vast experience being left handed.  My
mother did everything to teach me to be left handed in everything I learned.  I
am fortunate that she taught me to write correctly.
Looking back, however, I wish she had let me learn two handed things as a
'righty'.  For example, I learned to knit right handed but it is a two handed
skill.  Left handed people learn to play the piano like the right handed.  So,
please let the 'lefty' learn new two handed skills as if they are right handed.
I think they will be happy they did.
