Volunteers Needed – Pierce House Committee The Town of Lincoln believes that board and committee diversity strengthens performance, integrity, trust, and partnerships with our staff, community, and guests. The Select Board is seeking two interested volunteers to serve as At-Large members on the Pierce House Committee starting in Fall 2025. One seat expires in 2026 and the other in 2028.
The Pierce House was built in 1900 by Lincoln resident, John H. Pierce. In 1964, the Pierce family generously gifted the house and over 30 acres of surrounding woodlands and rolling lawns to the Town of Lincoln. Since then, the Pierce House has served as a cherished venue for weddings, meetings, and community events. The Pierce House Committee is dedicated to preserving this historic property so residents, neighbors, and guests can continue to gather and celebrate at the Pierce House. The Committee seeks Lincoln residents with experience or interest in historic building maintenance and restoration, budgeting and financial oversight, strong communication and collaboration skills, and a passion for serving the community through open and thoughtful civic engagement. Letters of interest and a volunteer application<http://www.lincolntown.org/DocumentCenter/View/85683/Volunteer-Sign-Up-Form-2023?bidId=> should be addressed to Pierce House Committee Chair, Anne Crosby, and sent to Peggy Elder, Administrative Assistant in the Select Board’s Office, at [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>, not later than 9/22/25. The Select Board will interview and appoint candidates as soon as possible. For more information, call the Select Board’s Office at (781) 259-2601. ======================================== Peggy Elder Administrative Assistant to the Select Board & Town Administrator Town of Lincoln T Direct 781-259-2601 D Email [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>
