I thought this opportunity might be of interest to Lincoln families. If you don’t know it, Hurricane Island<https://www.hurricaneisland.net> is a beautiful rocky island off of Rockland ME. Once known for its quarrying, it later became headquarters for Outward Bound. It now hosts an internationally known marine research station<https://www.hurricaneisland.net/field-research-station> AND hosts summer programs for middle and HS students<https://www.hurricaneisland.net/2025programs>. I met the director recently and she says there are still some openings for HS students in their programs.
