A designated parking area for guests with mobility needs will be available
in the rear of the Pierce House. Lincoln Police will be on-site to assist
with traffic and parking.
*What is the 250th? What were Lincoln's contributions?*

*When the alarm went out on April 19, 1775, Lincoln’s minute and militia
companies — more than 100 men in all — were the first to arrive in Concord,
to aid in the defense of American liberty at the North Bridge.*

*During the war, at least 255 Lincoln men and boys, ages 11 to 68, did
military service — roughly eighty percent of all military-age men of the
town. Among them were more than a dozen enslaved and free Black
soldiers. Indeed, the only Lincoln family to lose two sons in the war was
the free Black family of Peter and Margrett Oliver.*

*Not all of Lincoln’s men were patriot soldiers, however; at least **four
served on the loyalist side.*
