We have a garden plot at Codman. We discovered a massive snapping turtle emerge from our garden plot on Thursday morning. It is my guess she has laid her eggs.
Does anyone here have experience about what to do with the eggs? Should we protect them? Can they be moved or should I wait until they hatch? Our research tells me the hatchlings will want to move to a water source… But it could be hard to navigate the pathways with the different fencing. Any advice welcome, thank you.
