I highly recommend ordering them as just hatched eggs vs. chickens that are
close to laying (pullets). First of all, they are so adorable. Who doesn't
think baby chickens are cute? Second of all, they imprint on you and really
get close to you. It is such a pleasure to see them running to you when you
come home. Or chirping loudly to say hi when you are near. Or letting you hold
them. Or cooing and singing when you are around. Chickens have very distinct
personalities and are so much fun have as a pet not just for eggs. If you
raise them from just hatching, they are much more likely to develop a close
