This is an unusual post and if not allowed or TMI please excuse me. This idea
came to me in the middle of the night last night. I am hoping to appeal to this
community. I am a long time resident of Lincoln almost 30 years and yes even
graduated from LS, (when it was one story and smaller).
I am looking for work as I was recently laid off due to a company downsizing at
the end of April.
A bit about me and what I am looking for — I have been supporting Macs in IT
since the mid 90s, way back to OS 7. I have worked in academic both Harvard
and MIT (equal opportunity),worked in corporate, bio-medical scientific
communities — including graphics & marketing and photography departments at
Converse (yes Chucks). I have worked in small teams, large teams and as the
sole support person both tiny and in large global corporations. Most recently I
shifted from tech support to IT logistics which I enjoyed but can bounce back
to tech support. I am friendly, respectful and aim at providing great customer
support. I enjoy being helpful, am empathetic and supportive, (if I don’t know
the answer I will state it, research it and get back with an answer).
I am seeking an environment when I can work an honest day with others who are
supportive and kind. I believe in LGBTQ rights, human rights and equality for
all, regularly volunteer in reducing food insecurity, Boston Area Gleaners
being just one of the organizations I have volunteered my time and money.
I am passionate about organic vegetable gardening and share a plot at Lincoln’s
community gardens. I am also passionate about cycling and biking culture, I
admire the Dutch biking culture. My wife thinks I have too many bikes: I have
four, although I am attempting to sell two. I have ridden in several bike
charities to raise awareness and funding for AIDS in the 90s and most recently
to fund research for kids with cancer. In IT I have advocated for recycling
and repurposing computers, before it was called e-waste, with donations to
schools in Boston, after school and other charities in NH. I initiated several
e-waste opportunities while at Harvard and MIT and most recently with a NH
office closure in 2022.
I am an artist and photographer have two degrees in art and photography from
Boston. My work primarily is as a painter of gouache watercolors.

In appreciation,
August G Sanders
