The Parks & Recreation Committee is seeking applicants to fill an existing vacancy on the Parks & Recreation Committee. The person appointed will serve a three-year term that will expire in March of 2028. In order to continue serving, the person appointed will then need to stand for election. The fundamental responsibility of the Parks & Recreation Committee is to support the Parks and Recreation Department in providing affordable and diverse wellness and enrichment opportunities, community-based special events, and safe recreational facilities to residents of all ages. The Committee sets policy and oversees all facets of the department as well as strategic planning and development.
