Good morning -- I just wanted to shine a light on an upcoming event at our library. It feels like spring today, so it is a good time to clean out your craft closet in preparation for the Craft Supply Swap at the Lincoln Public Library this Saturday, March 8th from 12:30-3:30 pm. Share your stash with others -- or come to find some new gems to make or mend or build.
Here is a link to the details: https://lincolnpl.assabetinteractive.com/calendar/craft-supply-swap/ And, once you have the supplies for a new handcraft project, please join us for the weekly Knitting and Fiber Crafts Group that meets on Wednesday evenings from 7 - 8:30 pm. It helps to keep your hand busy. Pauline MacLellan 52 Bedford Road PS. Here are the "rules": What supplies donations will be accepted? Arts and crafts materials only (fabrics, yarn, paper, patterns, tools, paint, beads, etc.) We will NOT accept office supply donations (binders, file organizers, etc) Must be able to be reused (new or gently used, not expired) Donations may be turned away based on staff or volunteer discretion When in doubt, use the best friend rule – would I give this to my best friend? Please limit donations to 1 grocery bag per person. Consider donating extras to Household Goods, or other local recycling options. Do I need to bring supplies to participate? Nope! We’ll ask people to be respectful and not hog supplies, but we anticipate we should have plenty of supplies to share. If I bring donations, do I need to stay with them the whole time or take home unclaimed items? Nope! A volunteer or staff member will check you in and direct where you can place items. Can I bring donations early and drop them off? No, we cannot accept donations before the event. We recommend you bring a reusable tote to take your new-to-you items home in! -- The LincolnTalk mailing list. To post, send mail to Lincoln@lincolntalk.org.
