Do you know if there will be live coverage of any of these events on TV, for those of us who aren't up to dealing with the crowds?
I went to the 200th celebration, but I was a lot younger then. A bunch of us stayed overnight at a friend's house in West Concord (I remember sleeping on the floor) and hiked in along Route 62 until the place where we could catch the shuttle bus. The night before, there'd been a big rock concert in the field below the Buttrick mansion, but we missed that and the early morning re-enactment - just managed to see the parade with lots of Minutemen, British regulars, people on horseback, and President Gerald Ford.
