Celebrate Lunar New Year with Nüwa Sunday, January 26, 10-11:30am In celebration of Lunar New Year, we are delighted to welcome guests from Nüwa<https://wearenuwa.org/> to perform the traditional art of lion dance as part of our Sunday morning service, which will take place in the Parish House Auditorium (14 Bedford Road, across from Bemis). After the performance, children and youth will be invited to walk down to the Stearns Room for a Children’s lion dance workshop with the Nüwa dancers from 10:30-11:30 in the Stearns Room (4 Bedford Road, across from library). About Nüwa: The Nüwa Athletic Club<https://wearenuwa.org/>, based in Boston, MA, provides an environment for Asian American girls and women to enhance their physical and emotional development through teamwork, sportsmanship and cultural activities (including lion and dragon dance!) The all female group formed in 2017 and is named after a goddess in ancient Chinese mythology known for creating humankind and repairing the pillar of heaven. Winter Carnival | Imbolc Festival Sunday, February 2, 1:00-3:00pm This fun, enlightening event will take place in and outside the Parish House (14 Bedford Road) as part Lincoln’s Winter Carnival! Imbolc is a pagan festival marking the halfway point between winter solstice and spring equinox. As we celebrate nature and increasing light, we invite everyone to participate in festivities that will include a labyrinth, astrology and tarot readings, nature crafts, and more!
