Hi everyone, Thank you for your feedback regarding holidays and needs/wants in regards to Transfer Station availability. The goal at this point is to ensure that we maintain access to the Transfer Station 2 days per week, regardless of weather and holidays etc. We are not asking to “add” a day, although that might become necessary as the town grows, and I know many of you feel the need for that also. I sent a letter to Tim Higgins with an attached email from another resident. He responded quickly and said that he would discuss at his meeting with the DPW later this month. Thank you to Tim and all who responded. Again, this is not about how hard the DPW employees work (we all know they work hard). It is not about how much we consume. It is about availability and access to our Transfer station, whether we have piles of “detritus,” just a small bag, or even just something for the swap sheds.
