The Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 8pm at Follen Church (UU) in
Lexington (10 minutes away) is absolutely fantastic! They have a
traditional service of carols and readings (Linus would be proud), and
include some performances by the choir and other groups. As we reflect on
the year behind and year ahead, we pass candlelight around the sanctuary.
It's very meaningful and inspiring.

Did you know, the first minister, Charles Follen, is credited with bringing
the first decorated Christmas tree to the United States from his native
Germany? This is one reason why they sell Christmas trees as a fundraiser
each year.

Bonus: the drive there and back includes neighborhoods with decorated
houses for additional holiday spirit!

Everyone is very welcoming!

No matter if you stay snug at home or venture out, may your holidays be
merry and bright!

Yours,
Margit
