Hello Lincoln neighbors,

I am writing to share my heartfelt gratitude to the Gandhi family (and
extended family), most especially to Vama, Achla, and Trishla for hosting a
thoroughly well-done community event in Lincoln on Sunday afternoon/evening
12/15 at Bemis Hall. The event offered an energetic, engaging Indian
classical dance performance followed by a cooked-from-scratch-at-home
Indian meal to share Indian culture while raising awareness/funds for three
causes. Kudos to all for conceiving, executing, and sharing this unique,
generous community event.

Included causes are: research in brain cancer through the Glioblastoma
Foundation, the Lincoln Council on Aging & Human Services, and the
non-profit organization, Triveni School of Dance, which aims to empower and
teach anyone the power of classical dance. Though I am not 100% sure, and I
believe if you want to make a donation to the causes, you can use this
link.

For those who could not attend this event as we are in a busy time of year,
please keep your eyes open for future events sharing Indian culture with
the local Lincoln community. I even heard that cooking lessons for
Indian food (vegetarian Jain tradition) might be offered! We are fortunate
to have as many resources within our small community. (I have a photo and
did not ask permission to share it so will refrain from posting here.)

With appreciation and good cheer,

Kathleen Lomatoski
