You can try producing a PDF file directly from Mac Pages by doing the following:
(Menu item) *File...Print...* *or* type Command (or Cmd) *⌘P* In the Print dialog box that pops up, click the button near the bottom marked PDF then name and save the file using the dialog box that pops up.
