Dear Neighbors, As I prepare to receive my family for Thanksgiving, I wanted to make a final request to help fund gift cards for families experiencing homelessness this holiday season, if you haven't done so already. Heading Home, a Boston-based non-profit, facilitates Heading Home for the Holidays, and my goal is to raise $20,000 this year. As I write, we are just $4,899 away from that goal. Each year, Heading Home helps more than 8,500 children and adults as they experience and move out of homelessness (and in some cases, avoid it all together with emergency preventative support). Your gift might fund a special toy that might otherwise be out-of-reach for a family, winter clothing for a family who has relocated recently from a warmer climate, provide food for a special holiday meal, and so much more.
