Lincoln Nursery School (LNS) is a cooperative, play-based nursery school
inspired by the Reggio approach and is celebrating 80 years of growing through
community and learning through play! LNS is located on the grounds of deCordova
Sculpture Park and works in partnership with the Museum. LNS is made up of
families from many surrounding towns. The school’s philosophy acknowledges
children’s capabilities, creating a democratic and respectful community where
ideas are explored with an ongoing journey towards anti-bias education.
Children play to make sense of themselves and the world around them. Through
observation, listening and reflection, teachers support children’s
explorations, developing a responsive and engaging curriculum.
