service Hi All,I’m in the dark about HVAC service— I had contracted with
Advanced Mechanical, who I know from contractors and others are super
competent, but they’ve already charged $500/year (for regular annual
maintenance and the privilege of getting their ‘preferred’ rate for labor and
parts). I discovered that I couldn’t get heat last week and have already spent
$350 for them to diagnose the problem; now about to spend another $350 to get a
replacement valve and its installation. Is this reasonable? If it’s the
going rate, I’ll stick with them for their expertise, particularly as they came
out the same day, but it seems high to me. Maybe I’m just behind the
inflationary curve? Any advice, opinions, suggestions gratefully accepted.
