Hello Lincoln Talk readers and Lincoln neighbors,

I have had a few inquiries specifically about the volunteers tasks/roles at
Baker Bridge Farm related to the Call for Volunteers by The Food Project.
Asher (the farmer) is experienced in guiding volunteers as we/The Food
Project often hosts groups at Baker Bridge Farm.

What tasks will volunteers be doing?
Volunteers will be engaging in light farm chores, mostly harvesting at this
time of year, of many different crops.
Volunteers may also join the farmer in doing washing and packing of the
harvest.
(Wear sturdy shoes and best to dress in layers.)

What times are best?
Weekdays, anytime in the 8:00AM-12:00PM and 1:00PM-4:15PM timeframes are
the best. We prefer a 2 hour minimum per session. Feel free to come with a
friend or neighbor. Asher will teach/guide volunteers and get volunteers up
to speed.

Let me know any questions and/or reach out to Asher to set a time on the
farm: al...@thefoodproject.org

With best wishes for today and beyond,

Hello again,

I meant to add this photo and caption to the previous Lincoln Talk Post I
made calling for volunteers @ Baker Bridge Farm over the next several
weeks. Reach out to Asher if you have availability to volunteer to set
dates/times, Asher: al...@thefoodproject.org

Guests at last month's Shindig at Baker Bridge Farm learn about The Food
Project's harvesting practices from longtime Boston Farm Manager Danielle
Andrews and regular Boston volunteer Donald Henry.
