Dear Neighbors, Did you know that SNAP & WIC benefits do not cover diapers? This leaves many families to make difficult decisions between food, diapers, and other needs. The annual Metro Boston Diaper Drive that I co-coordinate hopes to alleviate some of that strain by collecting diapers for the Somerville WIC office, which serves Lincoln, Cambridge, Somerville, Arlington, Watertown, Belmont, Lexington, and Bedford.
If you are able, please help local families get the diapers they need by donating via our Amazon <https://amzn.to/4dir71S> or Target <https://bit.ly/3TI8xt1> registries, by visiting mbdiapers.org, or by using the QR code below. Diapers bought via the registries will go directly to the WIC office. Have loose diapers? I'll be putting a box at the Lincoln Library later today, or email me for my address and you can drop them off at my North Lincoln house. If you've ever bought diapers, you know how expensive they are, and the average price of diapers has gone up about 22% since 2018. We believe that ensuring local babies have enough diapers is a fundamental need. The Drive will run from Oct. 6 - 19, but you can donate anytime via the registries. Whether or not you can donate, please share about the Drive widely. Sincerely, Kim Jalet (Brooks Rd.) [image: Diaper Drive Amazon QR Code.png]
